Inspirational Story of OYO Founder Ritesh Agarwal

OYO Founder Ritesh Agarwal being raised in a small town has achieved immense success starting from a young age and inspire others by leading an example.'/

Ritesh Agarwal

It is often believed that it’s never too young to start an empire. Well, it’s true since there was someone who proved his worth at a very young age and recently, in the past few years, gained a lot of appreciation due to his exceptional entrepreneurship skills that changed the game of the travel industry.

Guessing who it can be? Well, he is one of the youngest entrepreneurs that India witnesses who even got acknowledged by our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, It’s the Founder of OYO Rooms Ritesh Agarwal who started off with his own venture when he was barely twenty-two.
It seems to be quite an achievement in this age of technology where everybody runs after the sought industries and very few focus on the industries that have the capability to expand widely but lack the initiation.
In India, he broke through the taboo and created his own mark and ended up becoming the face of his company performing the branding himself since he was an inspiration to so many others.

In this interview conducted by Beer Biceps, he talks about his personal and professional opinion over the pandemic crisis which has taken over the world. While speaking about him as an entrepreneur he is very much inspired by Bill Gates and Uday Kotak and shares a common fact among them of leaving an impact over the people regardless of the money earned.
He shares his opinion over the people who initiate a start-up to become a millionaire which according to him isn’t sustainable. He draws a picture from people who leave an impact and that is what he is inspired to do so in his course of life.

Having achieved so much in his life, he believes in influencing others through his work of smoothing down travel for the people around the world. He puts out his ideas over various new startups that could boom after the crisis calms down.

In this long interview, various aspects of his life are being reviewed followed by the discussions made over his inspirations in the course of his life.

A Warmhearted Letter To Irrfan Khan By Swaraj Singh

Irfan Khan being one of the most inspirational and versatile actors of all time got deceased few days ago for which a tribute letter was uploaded.'/

Irrfan Khan

Before we started mourning for the death of our beloved Irrfan Khan who summoned a few days ago, every actor dreamed of being as good as him or just have that tiny little moment of scene performed with him. Very few lucky individuals were fortunate enough to get that opportunity.

Every other actor had their dreams shattered when they missed their boat, nobody was ready to believe that such a thing has happened, but they had to bite the bullet and pray for his soul to rest in peace.

The ones who had the opportunity to work with him for the slightest amount of time have appreciated and cherished every moment of it, and still, contemplate him as their ideal.

Few of them also attempted to write letters, forming videos, tweeting, posting, etc. Here, we have one of the most beautiful letters ever written to him. Swaraj Singh recently uploaded an incredible video of him reciting his letter along with beautiful pictures of him as a background offering a tribute to the late Mr Irrfan Khan.

Let’s take a minute and appreciate the words by Swaraj Singh and pray for our beloved actor and cherish the beautiful memories of him featured in the past several years.

Robin Hood Army’s Commander-in-Chief: Neel Ghose

Co-founder of “The Robin Hood Army” Neel Ghose is an inspiration for how being human should be accompanied with the very innate quality of humanity. He has been serving the community with his no funds involved start-up and influencing others to serve too.'/

Neel Ghose had worked with a New York based hedge-fund and also with Zomato leading its set-up in across 5 countries. Later on, he started his own start-up cum social service organization. The structure of his start-up is based on compassion and empathy as he tells it to be. The threshold of the start-up is marked by social media, the idea of bringing people with a common purpose together in this contemporary way is quite inspiring. The organization is set-up with strategies planned carefully and is more of a no-fund start-up than an NGO.

Approximately 40% of food in India is discarded and yet we are also aware of the hunger problems of India where the people of lower strata of the society don’t even receive proper meals. There is an excess of food but not access to food. The objective of Robin Hood Army is to bridge this gap between the surplus of food and its mismanagement causing susceptible accessibility. While working in Portugal he conjectured and was inspired by an organization called Refood. The organization would collect leftover food from the restaurants and distribute it to the needy people. He then analyzed the working of that organization and back in Delhi proposed the idea to his friend Anand, who is also co-founder of the army. In one of his TEDx Talk, he describes the army as a “disruptive start-up that uses food as a medium to bring out the best of humanity at a community level.”

With 12000+ volunteers spread across 12 countries, the army collaborates with local restaurants, pick-up the leftover or excess food or even in better cases some restaurants give freshly prepared food, this food then is delivered to the needy persons in the locality. The volunteers compose a huge spectrum of professional backgrounds be it teachers, doctors, lawyers, students, employees of some firm, etc. who work for a change. The only investment which the Robins are expected to make is their valuable time.

The organization since its formation has taken up various challenges the most difficult one being outreaching the neighbouring nation Pakistan and spreading the army there and related to the endeavour is their project ‘Mission 1 million’. Apart from this, they have also started a rather more challenging initiative of Robin Hood Academy where slum children are taught once a week. They’re an example of selfless care for the society and moreover preservers of humanity in modern times.

In current times of pandemic Robins have made themselves available for serving the nation. They have released a google form on their website which can be used to inform about a needy person in lack of food and the Robins would approach them. Just as their name, they are truly an army serving the nation and deserve a salute and support from each citizen.

Co-founder of “The Robin Hood Army” Neel Ghose is an inspiration for how being human should be accompanied with the very innate quality of humanity. He has been serving the community with his no funds involved start-up and influencing others to serve too.

The Inspiring Story Of The Financial Genius: Raghuram Rajan

Today, we wish Raghuram Rajan, one of the most intelligent professors, an incredible RBI Governor and an inspiring human being a very happy birthday.

Raghuram Rajan

A country’s progress is, to a great extent, determined by its economic progress. Along with social and political factors, economic factors are paramount in deciding a nation’s state as developed or underdeveloped. Hence economists and policy planners of a nation play an indispensable role in the development of a country. Raghuram Govind Rajan is one such economist and RBI ex-Governor whose contribution to the country’s economic affairs is worth mentioning.

Born in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Rajan had a childhood full of commotion. From Indonesia to Sri Lanka to Belgium, he finally did his graduation from IIT Delhi and got his MBA degree from IIM Ahmedabad. He did his Ph.D. under the supervision of Stewart Myers which was titled Essays on Banking. His progress in the field of economics has been remarkable. He has taught in various prestigious colleges and universities and has played a key role in policymaking. After the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis, he was approached by American economist Anne Kreuger, the then deputy managing director of IMF, to help IMF strengthen its financial expertise. At 40, he was the youngest individual to be appointed as the chief economist in the IMF.

Rajan wrote extensively on banking, finance and corporate structure. His book “Fault Lines: How hidden fractures still threaten the world economy” won the Financial Times and Goldman Sachs Business Book of the Year Award. He is ranked among the most influential economists and featured among the top 5% authors in the world. He was one of the very few people in the world who predicted the 2008 sub-prime crisis. In 2007, the deputy chairman of the Planning Commission, India, asked him to write a report on financial sector reforms in India. In 2008, Dr. Manmohan Singh appointed him as an honorary economic advisor and was then appointed as the chief economic advisor to India’s Ministry of Finance.

Raghuram Rajan took charge as the 23rd Governor of the Reserve Bank of India for a term of 3 years. He currently teaches finance at the University of Chicago. Rajan’s extraordinary achievements in the field of economics are highly inspiring. One such inspiring moment was when he was nominated for the Nobel Prize for Economics in 2017. That says a lot about his intellect. He sets an example for all young Indians, being acknowledged all over the world for his skill and expertise. He undoubtedly made a strong mark, as an Indian, in the field of economics.

Today, we wish, one of the most intelligent professors, an incredible RBI Governor and an inspiring human being, a very happy birthday.
