June Jordan once said, “Poetry is a political act because it involves telling the truth.” And poetry about truth is an even stronger political act as it emotes the unsaid aspects of life bluntly. Today, we bring you one such thought-provoking poetry by Kunal Jhawar.
Kunal is an engineer by profession and a poet by passion. He is writing poems for over a decade now and mainly writes about love and life. One of his poems has also been featured in Rahul Dravid’s biography ” Behind the wall”.
In the backdrop of the recent events in our country, he observes the subtle aspect of life – truth, which has taken different forms today. In the world of fake and paid news, it becomes difficult to identify the actual truth, as the truth we see through the lens of media is not always real.
