Trending Talents: Anupriya Goenka’s Journey As An Actor

Trending Talents: In an exclusive interview with the host Shashi Mukherjee, the actor, model and entrepreneur Anupriya Goenka recalls her journey sofar.

“The important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle.” Every challenge in our life shapes us for the future of our dreams. Today, we bring to you the moving story of an Indian actress and model Anupriya Goenka, who made a mark for herself in the industry, while sailing through all the struggles and challenges of her life.

Born on 29th May 1987 in Kanpur, Anupriya mainly grew up in Delhi. During her 12th standard, she participated in a one-month Summer theatre workshop at the National School of Drama and found her passion in life. But, due to the financial instability in her family business, she chose to join the business after completing her school. Gradually, with time when things started moving in the right direction, she shifted to Mumbai with her family and took up a corporate job.

Stuck in the monotony of a job, she decided to take a break from it and try out theatre for some time. It was the government campaign, Bharat Nirman that brought her to the limelight and then there was no looking back after that. She has played pivotal roles in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavat, Yashraj’s War, Tiger Zinda hai and Netflix’s Sacred Games. Also, starred in Daddy, Dishoom, Bobby Jasoos, she has featured in over a hundred plus commercials. Apart from Sacred Games, she also appeared in web shows like Criminal Justice, Final call and Humorously Yours.

In this candid conversation with Shashi Mukherjee on Digital Commentary’s Trending Talents, she goes down the memory lane, recalling her journey so far.

Unfolding Stardom: The Inspiring Journey Of Jeetu Bhaiyya

Jitendra Kumar, famously known as the Jeetu Bhaiyya, recollects his journey to digital stardom in the DC’s Unfolding Stardom’s Season Finale.

Jeetendra Kumar

It happens more than often that we step out of the house with a particular set of goals in mind and we end up returning with a completely different set of experiences altogether. It won’t be wrong to say that the famous actor Jitendra Kumar, who we also know as Jeetu Bhaiyya, Arjun Kejriwal or Gittu, closely adhered to this phenomenon.

Born in Khairthal and descending from a family of civil engineers, Jitendra prepared for IIT-JEE keeping in mind his goal of getting into aerospace engineering. Smart and brainy as he was, he got into IIT Kharagpur but not into aeronautics, rather in the civil discipline. It was in college that he got a chance to actively participate in dramatics and he realized that it was something that pleased him the most. He became a part of the dramatics society in his college and participated in various plays, his first major play being Sakharam Binder, a very controversial play by Vijay Tendulkar. Gradually when he broke the news of wanting to become an actor, his parents were taken aback and later when he expressed his want of going to Mumbai, he faced an even greater opposition.

Despite all conflicts, he stuck to his passion and pursued his dream of becoming an actor. Just like all artists, he had his disheartening moments but he did not lose his will and pushed through. Aspiring for aeronautics, graduating as a civil engineer and professionally flourishing as an actor, Jitendra Kumar’s life has been a roller coaster with its crests and troughs, and yet, he hung on and never stopped believing in himself.

In the Digital Commentary’s Unfolding Stardom Season Finale, he recalls his journey.
