The Red Typewriter is a short film about love and separation. It tells that love is not something that lasts for a particular duration, but it lasts forever, it is way beyond the boundaries of time.
The plot is woven around the the two characters Sumeet and Shravani, who have a very distinct personality. Sumeet, who takes everything seriously, is a poet and his interaction with art has made him more sensitive, while Shravani is a free soul, who does not want to get caught in the boundaries of a relationship. She loves Sumeet, but is not ready to accept it. Then comes when death plays its part and separates them forever. Sadly, their last goodbye also could not be a blissful one.
While Shravani is gone, Sumeet could’ve regretted his actions of getting into a banter with her, but he rather finds uniqueness even in her death, as the lines SHE WAS ALWAYS UNIQUE, SHE WAS THE ONE, SHE WILL ALWAYS BE THE ONE, suggest that he has now acquired the traits of Shravani, where he is not accepting his love for her but acknowledging the fact that he won’t love anyone else now !
The story has been written and directed by Navaldeep Sing, a budding poet and an ultra budding filmmaker. On the other hand the lead actors, Trushna Chandratre, works in a Marathi TV actress and the lead actor, Kedar Pinge, a debutant, is in his final year of the college education.
