Celebrating the 4th Anniversary of Bhuvan Bam’s ‘BB Ki Vines’
Team The Talented Indian congratulates Bhuvan Bam on the 4th Anniversary of ‘BB ki Vines’, by taking you through his journey in his own words.

Pele once said, “Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.” Bhuvan Bam embodies those qualities, just the way his success does.
Four years ago, Bhuvan began his journey with an impulsive decision to imitate a journalist from Kashmir, to highlight the insensitivity of the reporters sometimes. And then there was no looking back after that.
Today, he is one of the most successful YouTuber in the world with 14 million plus subscribers. The characters played by him has struck a chord with the masses. However, he cannot be stereotyped just as a comedian. His passion for music translates into songs written, composed and sung by him. His singles ‘Teri Meri Kahani’, ‘Sang Hoon Tere’ and ‘Safar’ are equally successful as his comedy. And he does not stop at that. Recently, he won a Filmfare for his acting in his debut short film ‘Plus Minus’ opposite Divya Dutta.
But the most important of it all is that he is a very humble and simple family guy. Listen to his story in his own words.

Sejal Kumar’s First Original Single for Creators for Change: Aisi Hu
‘Aisi hu’, the first ever original of Sejal Kumar, is a part of Creators for Change, a global movement for girls’ education with Michelle Obama.

With increasing awareness regarding feminism, it is important to raise awareness regarding the basic ideology that fuels discrimination between men and women. It is important to address the root causes which lead to female exploitation and to trace back its beginnings, we need to question one’s grooming as a child, starting primarily from the house. Aisi Hun, by Sejal Kumar, is an informational as well as an inspiring song which sheds light on the same.
In her first ever original song, Sejal tells the tale of an ordinary Indian girl being brought up in a middle-class household. The problems highlighted in this video are not individualistic, rather represent the issues faced by the women community as a whole. Through the journey of this girl, it caters to trivial day to day occurrences like hiding sanitary pads in presence of a male member of the family, parents shying away from providing their kids basic sex education, imposing clothe restrictions and male interactions. At the same time, it also deals with how ignorant and reckless men are when it comes to dealing with unwanted pregnancies. The way they abandon women in times of need and fail to take responsibility for something they equally partook in highlights the faultiness in their upbringing. Matters catering to feminism can not just be solved by women alone. Equal participation of men is of vital importance and so is parental support in such cases.
It is the parents who can inculcate in their boys the basic ideology of respecting women and redefine what “being a man” means. At the same time, they should raise their girls to be strong and confident, and at the same time infuse in them equality and the will to fight for their rights. Aisi hu is a part of Creators for Change, a global movement for girls’ education with Michelle Obama.
